Rants from Mommyland is working with the Duffy House to throw our annual Mother's Day party to help women in need.
On Saturday, May 13th at Burke United Methodist Church, we'll get together to create Mother's Day gift bags for women living in domestic violence and homeless shelters in our community. In years past, we've been able to create hundreds of gift bags filled with much-needed supplies for women in 4 shelters, just in time for Mother's Day: The Patrick Henry Family Shelter, The Katherine K. Hanley Family Shelter, Duffy House and the Artemis House.
On the day of the event, we'll be collecting and sorting donations from 4:00-5:00pm. From 5:00-6:00pm, we'll be stuffing and organizing gift bags. There will be fun activities for kids throughout, including a chance for them to donate to the kids at the shelter.
Click here for a list of all the things we need. We'll be adding more information as we get closer to the date!
